The ‘Luna’ bag holds a special place in my heart.

 

The Acha Alta community is one of my favourite artisan villages in the Andes to visit.   At 4500 metres above sea level, visiting this weaving cooperative is akin to sitting in the clouds, physically and metaphorically.  I spent a few hours here watching artisans in their element:  spin, knit, weave and chatter.

 

The weavers in this village are talented bunch and renowned across the Peru for their distinctive textiles.

 

The ‘Luna’ bag is a fine example of weaving.

 

She looks amazing when paired with any neutral colour, warm winter essentials, a tailored suit, leather skirt or bohemian styling.

 

But being a denim girl, I love her with 70’s double denim (jacket and jeans).
